The ideal candidate for the Technical Business Analyst position at Vectorform is someone who is a seasoned technocrat that has a passion for all things technology. The candidate will ultimately be responsible and accountable for all business aspects (i.e. technical, operation, economical) of the requirements and analysis phase of a project. They will ensure that the final deliverables of a software development project meet all of the intended needs of the business. This person acts as the primary resource in the requirements phase of a project, and the primary business representative in the design and development phases of the project.

 

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Perform requirement gathering, documentation and analysis to include: stakeholder interviews, existing system documentation, business process models, rules and logic, development of implementation plans, development of business/technical requirements
  • Design software solutions through the definition of business processes and workflows, software application navigation flow, user interface documentation, etc.
  • Lend support to various business and technology teams as necessary during project discovery, design, development and delivery to ensure solid, scalable, robust solutions
  • Communicate effectively in both verbal (i.e. daily discussions, team meetings) and written (requirements, design specifications) form, as well as have an overall ability to be clear and concise in all communication
  • Work with Design Group to ensure the features are feasible and within the scope of the project's original requirements
  • Accurately assess the risks associated with each solution design / project
  • Support systems post implementation

 

What's Necessary:

  • 4+ years professional experience in business and systems analysis skills, experience with numerous platforms and environments
  • Ability to understand and apply common, object-oriented modeling techniques, including UML, use case, activity and sequence diagrams
  • Experience in creating system integrations, API specifications (JSON/Restful), data gathering and facilitation techniques (i.e. meetings and JAD sessions)
  • Experience with requirements management, use case and modeling tools
  • Experience in Scrum and Agile, applying and general knowledge of various analysis and gathering approaches, methodologies and models
  • Demonstrated leadership and attention to detail skills through prior experience at the strategic and tactical / implementation levels
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong analytical and planning skills

 

Icing on the Cake:

  • Experience with Mobile Software development
  • Experience with IoT, AI/ML, and/or Voice interfaces
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Scrum Master / Product Owner experience and/or certifications
  • Advanced experience in JIRA Agile/Confluence

 

Education Requirement:

  • Bachelor's Degree in CIS, Business, Management, Engineering or related field
